Ministries of Military Production, Water Resources collaborate

CAIRO – 23 December 2017: Minister of Military Production, Mohammed Al-Assar, and Minister of Water Resources, Mohammed Abdel Aati, signed agreements on possible cooperation between the two ministries.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed joint projects, including the renovation of the Esna barrages and use of a solar power energy system in the Minya governorate for water pumps.

They also discussed ways to coordinate efforts to establish river barges, rehabilitate the High Dam and build a centralized irrigation system in the Fayoum governorate, with the aim of rationalizing levels of water consumption in irrigation.
