Egypt sends medical aid to Somalia

CAIRO - 16 December 2017: Egypt has delivered a shipment of medicine to Somalia, the foreign ministry's spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a Saturday statement.

The ministry’s Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD), in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Egyptian Red Crescent, arranged the delivery of the shipment, added Abu Zeid.

The step, part of Egypt’s support to Somalia, has been appreciated by Somali officials.
