RAMALLAH - 3 December 2017: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday sent letters to world leaders, as well as the chairmanships of the Arab Summit, the African Summit, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the European Union and the Quartet on the Middle East.

The Palestinian president urged the world leaders to intervene with the US administration not to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

He warned that such a move would fuel extremism and violence and end all opportunities to resume the stalled peace process.
