CAIRO – 24 November 2017: The Egyptian flag was flown at half-mast over the Cabinet headquarters in mourning of the martyrs killed in the brutal attack that targeted Friday prayer congregates in Arish’s Rawdah Mosque.

On Friday afternoon, a group of 15 armed terrorists broke into Rawdah Mosque in Arish City, killing at least 254 and injuring 125 others.

According to eye witnesses, the terrorists were initially riding two all-terrain vehicles, which they ditched 150 meters away from the crime scene. They detonated a bomb outside the mosque and then opened fire at panicked Friday prayer congregants.

The world has come out in support of Egypt’s bitter, prolonged war against terrorism and extremism that has been taking place for the past four years.
