CAIRO – 22 November 2017: Secretary General of the House of Representatives Ahmed Saad el Din and Minister Counselor for Political Affairs at the US Embassy and Consulate in Egypt Musafa Popal highlighted Wednesday the deeply-rooted strategic relations binding Cairo and Washington.

Popal said the US and Egypt shared a consensus regarding issues of common interest.

He reiterated Washington's keenness on Cairo’s political and economic stability, as well as security to serve the best interests of the Middle East.

The US is also interested in boosting ties with Egypt in the parliamentary fields, Popal said.

Saad el Din hailed exchange of visits between Egyptian and US delegations and a recent visit paid by Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Al to the US.
