HARARE - 15 Nov 2017: Robert Mugabe has been placed under house arrest, a spokesman for Zimbabwe army announced

The army claimed that Mugabe is “safe and sound”, euronews reported.

The army announced that it has taken control of TV building and parliament premises.

The people of Zimbabwe have been photographed rushing to withdraw funds from banks.

Crowds of locals could be seen queuing outside CBZ bank in Harare, as political uncertainty in Zimbabwe escalates.

Following the military takeover in Zimbabwe, the British Government has advised UK residents to stay off the streets in Harare.
