CAIRO –13 November 2017: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry delivered President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi's message on Monday to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, in the beginning of their meeting, discussing the latest developments in the Arab region and ways of enhancing Arab solidarity and cooperation.

Shoukry praised the brotherly relations between the two countries, as well as the UAE’s international stances supporting Egypt, according to an official statement issued by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid.

Shoukry confirmed that Egypt is looking for more coordination and discussion during the next phase to face the challenges that threaten Arab national security, added the statement.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed stressed the depth of bilateral relations between the two brotherly states, confirming the UAE’s interest in more coordination with Egypt towards regional issues.

The Qatar diplomatic crisis, the Lebanese political scene escalations and the latest Houthi missile attack against Riyadh were the major topics discussed by Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and UAE’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed during their meeting.

Shoukry arrived in the UAE on Monday, marking his fourth leg of the Arab tour that includes six countries.

On Sunday, Shoukry met his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi, upon his arrival in Amman, Jordan. During the meeting, the two parties discussed the recent political and security-related developments in Lebanon and Syria.

During his tour in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, Shoukry is going to stress on the importance of preserving Arab solidarity in the face of the various challenges encountered by the Arab countries in the region, according to Abu Zeid's statements on Saturday.
