House rejects 6 requests to strip MP Mortada Mansour of immunity

CAIRO - 7 November 2017: The House of Representatives has rejected six requests by the public prosecutor to strip MP Mortada Mansour of immunity.

The House rejected the requests after reviewing a report by its legislative committee, which clearly opposed the move.

The committee rejected the requests due to a judicial dispute between the public prosecutor and Mansour.
