SHARM EL SHEIKH - 7 November 2017: Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin Daghr on Tuesday said that Egypt launched a peace message through the World Youth Forum (WYF) held under the auspices of by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

During his participation in the WYF in Sharm el Sheikh, bin Daghr told MENA that his country's participation in the WYF came upon an invitation from Sisi, stressing the importance of the forum.

Yemen has always sought to develop relations with Egypt, bin Daghr said, pointing out to the extended and historic ties binding both countries due to history and geography.

As long as Egypt is safe and sound, Yemen and the Arab world will have peace and security, bin Daghr stressed.

Although Yemen is in a state of war, it does not neglect to talk about its development projects with Egyptian officials bin Daghr noted.

Egypt has always worked for maintaining the unity of the Yemeni people, he added.

The ongoing war does not only depletes the resources in Yemen but in other brotherly countries in the Gulf area and the region, bin Daghr pointed out.

Iran’s support for Houthi rebels has enabled them to launch more than 300 missiles on liberated areas in Yemen and extended to areas inside Saudi lands, bin Daghr added.
