Al Azhar ready for cooperation wth Islamic wolrd: El Tayyeb

CAIRO – 30 October 2017: The Grand Imam of Al Azhar, Ahmed El Tayeb, has expressed Al Azhar's keenness on cooperation with Islamic countries in various domains in the interest of the Islamic world.

During a meeting on Monday with Azeri ambassador in Cairo Tural Rzayev, the Grand Imam said Al Azhar is ready to double its scholarships to the Azeri students to study in Egypt to help strengthen the policy of tolerance and co-existence.

For his part, the ambassador thanked the Grand Imam over the interest he pays to the Azeri students studying at Al Azhar, stressing the importance of promoting cooperation with Al Azhar in various domains.
