LONDON - 26 October 2017: The death toll from clashes that erupted between Syrian regime forces and Daesh militants in the Syrian province of Deir Ez-Zor has jumped to 75, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said on Thursday.

The clashes left 33 Syrian regime forces and 42 Daesh terrorists dead, the SOHR added.

Syrian regime troops were forced to retreat from some areas in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zor after Daesh militants have launched counterattacks, the SOHR asserted.
