Iraqi president urges pooling efforts to solve state's problems

BAGHDAD - 18 October 2017: Iraqi President Fuad Masum on Wednesday underscored the necessity of finding a convenient ground to solve all problems besetting state security.

Masum affirmed the necessity of working hard to reinforce the pillars of peaceful coexistence among all formations of the Iraqi people, the Iraqi news agency reported, citing a statement from the president's office.

He made the remarks during his talks with Patriarch Mar Louis Raphael I Sako, the head of the Chaldean Catholic Church in Iraq on the country's current conditions.

The Iraqi president also pointed to the refugees file and the hard conditions they endure in refugee camps.

In this regard, he called for working on alleviating their suffering and securing a safe return for them to their residences.
