CAIRO – 17 October 2017: International conference for Ifta kicks off on Tuesday as initiative of the Egyptian Islamic institution, Dar Al-Ifta Al-Missriyyah under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi.

The conference will be held from Oct. 17 to 19 in Cairo, and will be titled "Fatwa Role in Maintaining Societies' Stability."

The platform promotes the culture of understanding, coexistence and dialogue, the mufti said in statements to MENA.

He added that courses and symposiums will be offered during the conference along with maximizing the benefit from latest technologies to serve the goals of Dar al ifta.

The platform comprises a set of lectures as well as training, educational, cultural and behavioral programs, mufti Allam pointed out.

Dar al Ifta-affiliate the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide will host the third international conference with the participation of delegations representing 60 countries.

The move came as part of the continuous coordination between the Foreign Ministry and Dar Al-Ifta; seeking to highlight Egypt’s efforts in denouncing extremist discourses.
