Sisi meets new Japanese FM to discuss mutual cooperation

CAIRO—12 September 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will meet with the new Japanese Foreign Minister, Taro Kono at al-Ittihadyia, Cairo’s Presidential Palace, on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Sisi will discuss with Kono the potential for bilateral collaboration, as well as the latest developments in regional and international affairs.

Sisi visited Japan in February 2016, where he delivered a speech before the Japanese parliament on boosting bilateral cooperation. He is the first Arab leader, among a handful of others globally, to deliver an address before the Japanese parliament.
