Egypt’s UNESCO nominee lure African officials for support

CAIRO – 10 September 2017: Egypt’s nominee for UNESCO’s chief post Moushira Khattab, along with the African Union’s ambassador to Genève, are currently making a tour including a number of countries that are members in UNESCO executive board, head of Khattab’s election campaign Mohammed Oraby said on Sunday.

In a statement, Oraby added that Khattab is conducting important meetings with representatives of the African group as well as African diplomats in each country she visits, in order to emphasis on the great importance of Africa’s role in supporting Khattab.

Oraby hailed efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia, Emirates and Bahrain to promote the Egyptian nominee among other countries, a matter which reflects strong fraternal relations combining between Egypt and the three countries.
