Khattab tours member states of UNESCO Executive Board

CAIRO - 11 September 2017: Egypt's candidate for the UNESCO director-general post Moshira Khattab is paying a tour to the member states of the UNESCO Executive Board in a bid to rally support for her nomination.

She is accompanied by the African Union ambassador to the UNESCO as well as representatives of several African countries, Mohamed el Oraby, the director of Khattab's candidacy campaign, said.

Oraby, a former Egyptian minister, extended thanks to Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain for their support to Khattab's nomination for the UNESCO top post.
