CAIRO - 17 August 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi arrived in Chad on Thursday, from the Gabonese Capital, Libreville, said Presidential Spokesperson Alaa Youssef.

The Gabonese President was present to see off Sisi at Libreville International Airport, Youssef added.

Egyptian President Sisi signed a number of agreements with Gabon’s President Ali Bongo on Wednesday to foster mutual economic and trade relations.

Sisi announced in a press conference held in the presidential palace in Libreville on Wednesday that fostering relations between the two countries is of mutual importance and concern.

President Sisi on his four-day tour in Africa previously visited Tanzania, Rwanda and Gabon.

According to the Egyptian presidency, Sisi’s African tour reflects Egypt's "keenness to bolster relations on the African continent in all fields, intensify coordination and communication with its African brothers, as well as boost cooperation with African countries on all levels, especially in economic and trade ties."
