2 killed, injured in blast in Diyala province: Iraq

BAGHDAD - 16 Aug 2017: One civilian was killed and another wounded in a blast in a marketplace in Diyala province on Wednesday, an Iraqi security source said.

The bomb was planted under a car that was parked in the market, the source added.

An investigation was launched into the explosion.

Terrorist attacks surged over the past few weeks in northeast of Diyala with the start of a wide-scale military operation by Iraqi army troops to free the country from militants.
