CAIRO – 11 August 2017: Authorities at Cairo International Airport deported to Sudan a Sudanese child left by his father, who was trying to illegally enter Libya, a source at the airport said on Thursday.

The father left his six-year-old child while he was being tracked by Egyptian security forces on the Egyptian-Libyan border, the source added.

The Sudanese embassy in Cairo was notified of the issue in order to go through the process of sending the child to his relatives in Sudan, according to the source.

The child will travel to Sudan after the travel process has been finalized, the source noted.
