AMMAN - 8 August 2017: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi and his Algerian counterpart Abdel Qader Msahel agreed Tuesday to hold the upcoming meeting of the Jordanian-Algerian joint committee in Algeria before the end of this year.

However, both parties will hold a meeting at the experts level in the Jordanian capital Amman to identify the areas of cooperation between the two sides before the meeting of the joint committee.

This came in a meeting between Msahel and Al Safadi in Amman during which they confirmed both countries' determination to take practical steps on the ground to boost relations between the two nations in accordance with the instructions of the political leadership of both states.

The two ministers stressed the importance of enhancing economic cooperation between the two sides and engaging the private sector in both countries to play a vital role in this cooperation.

In addition, both ministers pointed out that there are a lot of areas of cooperation between the two nations which need strengthening, such as the economic, trade, investment, cultural and tourism fields.

Msahel and Al Safadi also discussed the latest developments in the region, including the Palestinian issue, the Syrian and Libyan crises, as well as combating terrorism and extremist ideology.
