Al Azhar, Arab league to sign MoU on promoting moderate Islam

CAIRO - 1 August 2017: Al Azhar Undersecretary Abbas Shoman on Tuesday revealed that an MoU will be signed between al Azhar and the Arab League (AL) on Wednesday to bolster cooperation and dialogue along with promoting the moderate teachings of Islam.

The MoU aims at correcting wrong concepts about Islam along with outlining a joint vision to launch an awareness campaign in this regard.

The MoU also aim at correcting the negative image of Muslims and Arabs depicted by the media.
