AMMAN– 25 July 2017: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al Safadi discussed Tuesday with US envoy Jason Greenblatt ways to defuse tension in Al Aqsa mosque, according to a statement by the Jordanian foreign ministry.

The ministry added that this meeting is the second between Al Safadi and Greenblatt this week, pointing out that Jordan's diplomatic efforts led by King Abdullah II to resolve the crisis will continue.

The ministry emphasized the necessity of rescinding all unilateral measures taken by Israel since the outbreak of the crisis and stressed the importance of respecting the historical and legal status of Al Quds.
