CAIRO – 18 April 2024: A convoy of 234 trucks loaded with food, relief supplies, and humanitarian aid reached the besieged Gaza Strip on Thursday through the Rafah Border Crossing.

 

Data from the Rafah Crossing movement revealed that over the past hours, 48 trucks, including three fuel, three gas, and three diesel trucks entered the strip. Further, 42 trucks carrying essential supplies, such as food, medical supplies, flour, tents, blankets, mattresses, clothing, shoes, cleaning materials, dates, and tissues, have already made their way into Gaza. Additional 186 trucks, primarily laden with aid, entered through the Karam Abu Salem crossing.

 

The border crossing facilitated the transit of 38 wounded individuals, 79 accompanying persons, 388 passengers, including 100 Egyptians and 10 foreigners, from the Palestinian side into Egypt.

 

Also, Al-Arish Airport received three planes carrying aid destined for Gaza. Among them were two planes from Belgium carrying 30 tons of relief materials each, and a plane from Qatar loaded with 26 tons of food and flour.

 

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has announced a rise in the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip to reach 33,970 martyrs and 76,770 wounded since October 7.

 

According to Palestinian health officials, the occupation committed seven massacres against families in Gaza in the past 24 hours, leaving 71 martyred and 106 injured.
