CAIRO – March 30, 2024: Egypt continued participating in dropping tons of aid on the Gaza Strip over period between March 28 and 29, announced the Egyptian Ministry of Defense in a statement on Saturday.

This ongoing effort is part of humanitarian air bridge missions aimed at delivering food aid and essential supplies to support the besieged Palestinian population in the Strip.

The Egyptian Air Force, in collaboration with the UAE Air Force, continued to conduct airdrops of food aid and urgent relief materials from Al-Arish Airport to the northern Gaza Strip. This assistance is particularly critical as 700,000 individuals in the northern part of the strip are facing acute starvation caused by Israeli forces since October 7, 2023.

Simultaneously, daily flights by Egyptian aircraft, in coordination with counterparts from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and international coalition countries, persisted in delivering tons of aid to areas within the Gaza Strip that are inaccessible by land.

So far, Israel has 32,705 Palestinians, the majority of whom are children and women, in the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli occupation aggression, on the 7th of last October. Meanwhile, a total of 75,190 others have been injured, and other thousands of victims are still under the rubble.
