Ambassador Mai Taha Khalil presented her credentials to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, as Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Brazil

CAIRO - 2 February 2024: Ambassador Mai Taha Khalil presented her credentials to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, as Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Brazil, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

 

The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to his Brazilian counterpart, and expressed her gratitude for representing her country in Brazil.

 

For his part, the Brazilian President expressed his appreciation for the warm reception he received during his participation in the 27th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 27), which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh in November 2022.

 

He also expressed his thanks to the Egyptian government for its support to Brazil in evacuating its nationals from the Gaza Strip, stressing his aspiration to visit to Egypt soon.
