CAIRO – 17 January 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting Wednesday to follow up on the government's efforts to forge closer agricultural cooperation with African states.

The collaboration is in alignment with the country's vision to boost regional integration mechanisms, strengthen the continent's resilience in the face of international economic fluctuations, and leverage Africa’s resources. The goal is boosting self-sufficiency on the continent and safeguarding food security.

President Sisi was briefed on the challenges facing public and private investments on the continent, and proposals on ways to support these investments.

The meeting included Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayyed El Quseir, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam; and Executive Director of the Future Authority for Sustainable Development Bahaa El-Ghannam.
