5 jets carrying aid to Gaza Strip land in Arish International Airport

CAIRO – 2 January 2024: Arish International Airport received Tuesday five jets carrying aid to Gaza Strip from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Pakistan.

 

The UAE sent 4.477 tons of fuel, while Saudi Arabia sent 24.281 tons of food, medical supplies, and rescue equipment. Twenty tons of food and medical supplies were also sent by Pakistan, while Iraq sent two jets carrying food. One carried 17.793 tons and another carried 12.246.

 

Eighty two aid trucks entered the Palestinian side through the Egyptian-Palestinian border Rafah crossing on Monday, Al Qahera News reported.

 

Also, 15 injured Palestinian people and 300 dual nationals left the Palestinian side for Egypt, the channel added.

 

A Saudi plane carrying humanitarian aid for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip arrived at Al-Arish International Airport in North Sinai on Monday, MENA reported.

 

The head of the Egyptian Red Crescent branch in North Sinai, Dr. Khaled Zayed, explained in a press statement that the Saudi plane carries 24 tons of medical and food supplies.
