CAIRO – 21 July 2017: An EgyptAir flight that witnessed a two-hour delay Friday over a “false” threatening note departed Cairo Airport heading to Athens, according to airport authorities.

The crew found the note that reads “Wanted Alive or Dead since 2002” carrying unclear image of a person at the back of seat no. 33 inside the plane.

Until the time of writing, inspection measures are underway, and passengers were halted from boarding the plane. Authorities used police dogs, and bomb squad to inspect the aircraft.

Sources at the airport said that the flight arrived from London at 4:30 a.m. on Friday, and was prepared to fly to Athens, Greece.
