Egypt honors volunteers in crises of Gaza, Libya, Sudan

CAIRO – 24 December 2023: Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine al-Qabbaj honored Sunday the Egyptian Red Crescent's volunteers, who exerted exceptional efforts during the crises in Gaza Strip, Libya and Sudan, on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development.

North Sinai's El-Arish International Airport has received 331 planes carrying thousands of tons of relief aid, ambulances, field hospitals, and necessary equipment bound for Gaza since the start of the Israeli war on the strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) moves the shipments to Gaza from Arish city through the Rafah border crossing along with those provided by the entity itself as well as other Egyptian charities.
