CAIRO – 18 December 2023: The election campaign of defeated Presidential candidate Farid Zahran extended his greetings and appreciation to the Egyptian citizens in all governorates who trusted Zahran.

 

“We also extend our sincere thanks to the respected partners, the national democratic forces, politicians and jurists who announced their support. This had the greatest impact in mobilizing support for our candidate,” the campaign said in a statement.

 

“The electoral entitlement has ended with all the negatives and positives, and we have many lessons learned and many more. Today we continue our journey, our struggle, and our path that we consciously chose for the sake of all the values and principles we believe in,” the statement continued.

 

The campaign added that the candidate and its members seek to achieve a democratic civil state through a long journey with current and future partners by all peaceful and democratic means, the statement said.

 

“We will strive to create a democratic movement that expresses the hopes and aspirations of the Egyptian people,” the statement read.

 

The campaign added that their presidential platform was set for a better future and will be handed over to the elected president Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

 

President Abdel Fattah al Sisi secured another presidency term for an additional six years after winning the 2024 Presidential Elections with 39.702.541 votes or 89.6% of total valid votes, according to the National Elections Authority.

 

Candidate Farid Zahran won third place in the 2024 presidential elections with a total number of 1,776,952 votes, or 4% of total valid votes. Meanwhile, candidate Hazem Omar won second place in the 2024 presidential elections, with a total number of 1,986,352 votes, or 4.5% of total valid votes.

 

Candidate Abdul-Sanad Yamama got fourth place with a total number of votes of 822,606 votes, or 1.9% of total valid votes, according to the National Elections Authority.
