Giza to provide ambulances, transportation for elderly, disabled during elections

CAIRO - 2 December 2023: Giza governorate will deploy an ambulance outside every polling station during the presidential elections Dec. 10-12.

A cleaning campaign and another campaign to remove illegal street vendors in Giza has begun in a prelude to the election, according to a Saturday statement by Giza Governor Ahmed Rashed.

Means of transportation for the disabled and the elderly to go to polling stations will also be provided. 

Four presidential candidates are competing in this election, including incumbent President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who has been in post for two terms since 2014.

Other candidates are Farid Zahran, head of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party; Abdel Sanad Yamama, Head of Al-Wafd Party, and Hazem Omar, head of the Republican People’s Party.
