Cairo – 21 November 2023: President Abdel Fattah al Sisi said on Tuesday that he followed with great interest the Prime Minister’s statement before the House of Representatives, during which “he expressed the state’s pillars with regard to the Egyptian national security, and the Palestinian issue that remains in the Egyptian national conscience, both the state and people.”

Sisi affirmed that the state, with all its agencies and institutions, will continue to provide the necessary support to the Palestinian cause at all levels, while categorically rejecting any attempts to liquidate it.

President Sisi called on all active parties ‘to uphold the voice of wisdom and effectuate relevant international resolutions.’

On Tuesday, Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli attended a plenary session at the House of Representatives to answer briefing requests on the measures taken to inhibit the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza Strip.

Prime Minister Madbouly said that the repercussions of not establishing a Palestinian state will be horrendous, asserting that Egypt have and will always back the rights of Palestinians.

"Egypt provided fourfold the aid sent from other countries to Gaza," he said.

Madbouly added that Egypt insists on opening Rafah Border Crossing, delivering aid, and not forcing Palestinians out of Gaza into Sinai.

"Egypt rejects the destruction of schools, hospitals, and worship places in Gaza Strip, allowed the evacuation of 8,200 foreigners and dual nationals from Gaza through its lands, and is providing medical treatment to over 383 Palestinians at Egyptian hospitals, including 28 premature children," Prime Minister continued.

Madbouly ensured that Egypt never closed Rafah Border Crossing on its side.

The expansion of the conflict will not just jeopardize the region but the entire world, he said, stressing that displacement calls "imperil the national security of Egypt."

Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly also said that if Egypt accepts the entry of 2 million Palestinians from Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Cause will be terminated.
