CAIRO - 27 October 2023: The World Health Organization (WHO) said that cutting off power in Gaza makes it difficult to reach the wounded, explaining that the patients being treated at the hospitals cannot be evacuated in such circumstances in Gaza, according to the Al-Qahera News TV channel.

WHO added it still cannot communicate with our employees in Gaza.

On Friday evening, Palestinian media stated that the Israeli occupation authorities had completely cut off the internet and electricity from the Gaza Strip, at a time when media reports spoke of the beginning of a ground attack by the occupation forces on the Strip, in addition to violent bombardment throughout the Strip, described to unprecedent.

World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus said on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the organization “lost touch” with staff, health facilities and humanitarian partners on the ground in Gaza following the collapse of internet and phone services in the region, which is still being hammered by Israeli strikes.
