CAIRO - 26 October 2023: Egypt's National Elections Authority has commenced the printing of ballots for the upcoming 2024 presidential elections, with an estimated count of up to 65 million eligible voters. This follows the finalization of the list of candidates on November 9.

The authority initiates the ballot printing process after ensuring the names of the official candidates for the first round of elections are not subject to modification.

Each ballot will feature the names of presidential candidates and their order according to the submission sequence, along with their electoral symbols.

The National Elections Authority has scheduled November 8 as the date for selecting electoral symbols for candidates based on the order of nomination. There are 15 electoral symbols to choose from, including the star, sun, lion, horse, eagle, rooster, scales, airplane, wristwatch, palm tree, ship, umbrella, telephone, glasses, and ladder.

The National Elections Authority, led by Chairman Hazem Badawi, announced that no objections were raised by presidential candidates regarding the 2024 elections. The four candidates, who met all the required conditions, were accepted for candidacy.

These candidates are Presidential Candidate Abdel Fattah Said Hussein Khalil El-Sisi, Mohamed Fareed Saad Zehran, Abdel-Sanad Hassan Mohamed Yamama, and Hazem Mohamed Suleiman Mohamed Omar.

It is worth noting that the National Elections Authority previously announced the timeline for the 2024 presidential elections, with the nomination period spanning from October 5 to October 14. The voting process will take place for Egyptians abroad on December 1, 2, and 3, and domestically on December 10, 11, and 12.
