CAIRO – 24 October 2023: The first batch of doctors, who volunteered to go to Gaza Strip, received a five-hour training on Monday with the Egyptian Red Crescent, while a similar one is scheduled for the second batch on Wednesday.

The Egyptian Doctors Syndicate opened Saturday the registration for physicians who wish to volunteer at Gaza hospitals. The volunteers have been divided into groups with the first one consisting of 40.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health declared Monday that 12 hospitals and 32 medical centers had gone out of service because of Israeli airstrikes and the lack of fuel.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced Friday it had received a threat from the Israeli occupation authorities to bomb Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza, demanding the immediate evacuation of the hospital.

The hospital houses more than 400 patients and about 12,000 displaced civilians who took refuge in the hospital as a safe place, in addition to the medical staff, amid the Israeli strikes on the strip that left thousands killed since the beginning of the aggression.
