CAIRO – 22 October 2023: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, discussing developments of military escalation between the Palestinians and Israelis.

Both leaders agreed on the necessity to avoid escalating the conflict, as this represents a grave threat to the security and stability of the Middle East.

Sisi and Rutte also agreed that there should be guarantees for delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip sustainably.

The Dutch Prime Minister appreciated Egypt's intense efforts in this regard, for organizing the Cairo Peace Summit,  and for delivering aid to the Strip.
