CAIRO – 20 October 2023: The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced Friday that 3,785 had been killed by the Israeli occupation and over 12,000 had been injured in Gaza Strip, while the figures in the West Bank are 81 and 1,400, respectively.

A Palestinian girl was killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted Saint Porphyrius Orthodox Church in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza Strip Thursday.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of health, the church has been a shelter for hundreds of Palestinians displaced by the Israeli aggression.

The attack was reported to cause severe damages to parts of the church building, with an adjacent structure being completely destroyed.

The Saint Porphyrius Orthodox Church is located meters away from Al Ahli Baptist Hospital, affiliated with the Anglican Episcopal Church, struck by Israeli fighter jetsTuesday, incurring the death and injury of hundreds of civilians.

On Tuesday, Israel bombed Gaza Baptist Hospital where thousands of displaced Palestinians took refuge, killing up to 500 people.
