2.8K Palestinians killed, 10.9K injured by Israeli airstrikes since Oct. 7

CAIRO – 16 October 2023: The Palestinian Ministry of Health indicated Monday that 2,808 had been killed, and 10,950 others had been injured by Israeli airstrikes since October 7.

The breakdown is 2,750 deaths and 9,700 injuries in Gaza Strip, and 58 deaths and 1,250 injuries in the West Bank. Victims include 800 children and 500 women in Gaza Strip, and 17 children and one woman in the West Bank.

The total number of attacks on the medical sector amounted to 92. In Gaza Strip, 15 attacks and 23 others were carried out against medical establishments and ambulances, respectively. As a consequence, 25 medics got killed and two hospitals got out of service.

In the West Bank and Jerusalem, 16 ambulances, nine medics, and two patients were attacked.
