Egyptian government details assistance provided to Egyptian victims of Libya's Storm Daniel

CAIRO – 14 September 2023: The Ministry of Social Solidarity declared disbursing LE100,000 to the family of each Egyptian killed by Storm Daniel in Libya, and LE25,000 to every injured.

 

That is in addition to paying the tuition fees of their children for academic year 2023/2024 as well as providing monthly food support until the families are economically and socially stable.

 

The Tobruk Coastal Security Administration announced, Tuesday, the arrival of the bodies of 145 Egyptians to the Tobruk morgue. It confirmed, on its official Facebook page, that they had all been deported to Egypt.

 

The Egyptian victims are among thousands whom been killed and injured due to Mediterranean “Storm Daniel” that hit Libya Monday incurring at least 5,000 deaths, and over 10,000 missing individuals.
