Egypt to launch National Population Strategy Tuesday

CAIRO - 4 September 2023: Egypt is set to launch its National Population Strategy and the General Health Strategy on Tuesday during the World Conference on Population and Development that will be hosted in the country. 
 
The National Population Strategy and the General Health Strategy in Egypt will be launched during the conference activities, stressing the ability of the Ministry of Health and Population to take actual steps to implement the two strategies on the ground, in light of the political leadership’s interest in the health system in Egypt and the population issue.
 
The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population is organizing the World Conference on Population and Development, starting Tuesday, until next Friday, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, for 8,000 visitors.
 
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the Minister is following up on the final preparations of all conference organizing committees, as the Minister reviewed detailed presentations on the preparations of the Executive Committee for the conference and the 8 subcommittees.
 
Abdel Ghaffar said that the National Population Strategy and the General Health Strategy in Egypt will be launched during the conference activities, stressing the ability of the Ministry of Health and Population to take actual steps to implement the two strategies on the ground, in light of the political leadership’s interest in the health system in Egypt and the population issue.
 
Abdul Ghaffar continued: The conference agenda includes scientific programmes, dialogues and sessions, as the conference includes 65 dialogue sessions in which 270 Egyptian and foreign speakers will participate.
