CAIRO - 16 August 2023: The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population said that 19.4 million medical services have been provided as part of the "100 Days of Healthy Lives" campaign to date, free of charge.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, revealed the details of the initiative, explaining that it relies on a huge fleet of medical clinics and treatment convoys that visit population centers.

He stressed that the initiative aims to reduce the burdens on citizens, by providing medical examination and treatment to citizens in places where they cannot receive services, and that through mobile clinics.

In the event of a need to install a valve, an open heart, or a kidney transplant, the Minister of Health said that the case is transferred to the hospital, a treatment decision is issued at the state’s expense, and the surgery is performed without the patient incurring any additional costs.
