CAIRO – 20 July 2023: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects the scorching heatwave and humidity to continue across Egypt next week, with temperatures expected to reach highs of 40 degrees Celsius in many areas.

During daytime, weather is expected to be extremely hot in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai and southern Egypt, while the heat in the northern coasts will be less severe.

Apparent temperatures based on the EMA expectations until Wednesday:

- Cairo and Lower Egypt – Highs: 39

- Northern coasts – Highs: 35

- South Sinai – Highs: 42

- Northern Upper Egypt – Highs: 42

- Southern Upper Egypt – Highs: 45
