CAIRO - 5 July 2023: The second edition of the Emerging Peacemakers Forum (EPF) will kick off in Geneva, Switzerland, Thursday.

The Forum is organized by the Muslim Council of Elders in partnership with the Rose Castle Foundation and the World Council of Churches and will run until July 14.

About 50 young men and women from around the world are attending the event.

The Muslim Council of Elders says that the Forum will serve as a platform for dialogue among youth aged between 18 and 30 years old, who work to develop innovative and sustainable solutions and recommendations to achieve peace in societies.

The EPF also aims to empower youth through the launching of national and regional initiatives and projects related to the peace industry and promoting the values of tolerance and the principles of humanitarian fraternity.

The EPF was initiated by the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, Dr Ahmed Al-Tayeb, to build dialogue and cooperation all over the world.
