CAIRO - 27 June 2023: Civil defense troops Tuesday recovered the third body from the debris of a building that collapsed in Alexandria on Monday.

Two bodies were pulled out late Monday. The search is still on for more victims under the collapsed 14-story building.

Four persons, including a paramedic, were injured in the vicinity of the building on Khalil Hamada Street in Montaza neighborhood.

Ten ambulances are deployed to the area, which is now cordoned off to prevent any passersby.

Alexandria Governor Mohamed el Sherif is following up on developments regarding a building that collapsed earlier Monday in Montaza neighborhood.

Sherif inspected civil defense troops as they worked to remove the debris from the 14-story building on Khalil Hamada Street.

Rescue operations are still ongoing, Sherif said, adding that the area is cordoned off to keep passersby away.
