Egypt condemns Israeli attack against Jenin city, warns of continuing escalations

CAIRO – 19 June 2023:  Egypt has condemned on Monday the Israeli attack against Jenin city, northern West Bank, with airstrikes and fire shootings which resulted in 3 casualties and 31 injuries.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt stressed its complete rejection to all kinds of aggression, which contradicts all provisions of international law and decisions of international legitimacy.

The statement also warned of the dangers of continued escalation against the Palestinian people, noting that such attacks only lead to inflaming the situation and threaten to get out of control and undermine efforts to reduce tension.
