Long Live Egypt Fund convoy of aid sent to Gaza Strip

CAIRO - 10 May 2023: In an interview with Al Qahera news channel on Wednesday, Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt, Diab al- Louh thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his continued support for halting the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

 Louh said President Sisi has done his best to realize truce and stem bloodshed of the Palestinians, urged the international community to swiftly intervene to halt the aggression and provide international protection for the Palestinians.

On Tuesday, Palestinian permanent envoy to the United Nations (UN) Riyad Mansour said the crimes committed against the Palestinian require international measures to bring the criminals to justice, protect civilians and ensure peace and security.

Regarding, the Palestinian-Israeli issue, President Sisi said on May 6 and during his meeting with Chairman of the US House Intelligence Committee Mike Turner that working to resume negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides with the aim of a just and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue is a must.

President Sisi added that Egypt is exerting relentless efforts, in parallel, to stabilize the truce between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, as well as the initiatives for the reconstruction of Gaza. He stressed that a just and comprehensive peace would open new and broad horizons in the region, in the interest of development and prosperity for all peoples, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy in a statement.
