CAIRO - 17 July 2017: A decision has been taken to impose entry-visa on Qatari citizens who seek to enter the country in accordance with the reciprocity principle, spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said Monday.

It is not reasonable to continue granting advantages and exceptions to Qatar in light of its current stances, the spokesman added.

"All measures will be taken not to harm the interests of the brotherly Qatari people, especially the humanitarian cases," Abu Zeid said.

Qatari citizens of Egyptian mother, husbands and wives of Egyptian nationals, as well as Qatari students studying in Egypt are exempted, he added.
