Egypt announces Cairo metro operating hours during Ramadan

CAIRO – 11 March 2023: The Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operations announced the operation schedule of metro lines during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr, stated the company spokesperson Ahmed Bakir in a statement on Saturday.

 

The schedule is as follows:

 

·      All metro lines start operating at 5:15 a.m.

 

·      The last trains on the first line from Helwan and from New Marg depart at 12:15 a.m.

 

·      The last trains on the second line from Shubra Al-Khaima and from Al-Munib depart at 12:30 a.m.

 

·      The last train on the third line from Adly Mansour leaves at 12:7 a.m.

 

·      The last train on the third line of Kit Kat departs at 12:38 a.m.

 

·      The last train of the first line reaches the transit station of Anwar Al Sadat at 1:00 a.m.

 

·      The last train reaches the interchange station of Gamal Abdel Nasser at 12:30 a.m.

 

·      The last train in Ataba station, the interchange station of the second line with the third, reaches at 12:30 a.m.

 

 

Egypt’s Darul Iftaa, the body responsible for issuing religious edicts, announced on Thursday that it will sight the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan on 29th of Sha'ban.

 

The holy month is the ninth in the Islamic calendar, the month in which the Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed.
