Hegazy meets Commander of US Army Central Command

CAIRO – 17 July 2017: Egypt’s Army Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy met on Sunday with the Commander of the U.S. Army Central Command Lt. General Michael Garrett and the accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt.

The meeting dealt with handled a number of issues of common interest to both countries primarily prospects of military cooperation, and exchange of experience and training in many fields.

Hegazy highlighted the strong and deeply-rooted military cooperation between Egypt and the United States, and underlined the importance of coordination in confront challenges facing the Middle East, especially terrorism.

For his part, General Garrett expressed keenness on boosting cooperation and joint action between the two countries.
