Security identifies Alexandria church assailant

CAIRO – 15 July 2017: The man who attacked a church security guard with a razor on Saturday has been identified and detained.

Facebook users shared pictures and a video of a person attacking the guard of St. Peter and St. Paul Church in Eastern Alexandria with a razor, causing him a superficial wound to the neck.



The policemen on duty to secure the church interfered and stopped the attack, and the perpetrator was arrested on the spot.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, and images have circulated on Facebook showing his wound being stitched.
